Curtis Winters


● Currently band leader for the award winning Orem Jr. High Jazz  Band  which was named Second Place Jr. High Jazz Band at the Crescent Jazz Festival, and named as one of three outstanding Jr. High Jazz Bands at BYU’s Jazz Festival.

● Bachelor of Music in Music Education, Brigham Young University.

● A three-year member of BYU’s premier Jazz Band Synthesis.

● Drum Major for BYU’s marching band for two years.

● Performed at the Montreux Jazz Festival and the North Sea Jazz Festival with Synthesis.

● Performed for four years with BYU’s Jazz Legacy Dixieland Band including a performance at The Kennedy Center.

● Recorded with Synthesis and was featured as a soloist on the Live at Montreux CD.

● His big band arrangement of “When I Fall in Love” was recently performed at the Park City International Jazz Festival.
